Hi. It's Freesat from the UK. The Sky card costs £20 (one off payment, no sub) and works in any compatible receiver (e.g.: Sky receiver). Of course, it is only supposed to be used in the UK...

Having done some further research, it would seem that the only E4/More4 channels that are not on the narrow beam (2D) - i.e.: available to those with a 'smaller' dish - are ROI channels and, sadly, E4 and More 4 are still encrypted subscription channels in Ireland. Hopefully this might change in the future but, for now at least, it would seem that E4 and More 4 are not available on Freesat from Sky outside the UK/narrow beam area. Hopefully this information will be useful to others. If anyone knows different, please do post.
British TV access in (IN!!) Italy

There are so many messages purporting to show the way to receive ENGLISH TV here IN (INSIDE) Italy..............
I fail to see what benefit it is to telling the ITALY MAG members how one can receive these channels in other parts of Europe!
Or am I missing something ?
If you know of any changes in how to receive (HERE IN ITALY) british TV programmes, please let us all know.
If you have some ideas on how to receive these programs in Ireland, Belgium, France, Germany or any other (NON Italian) european country, please find Ireland mag, Belgium mag, France mag etc etc etc!!:masked::masked:

The specifically "British" Freesat service is broadcast in a tight beam that is difficult to receive outside the British Isles. The "Irish" service, including British programmes, is in a broad beam covering all of Europe, including Italy.
I didn't know that myself until reading this thread, but it certainly is useful information for those in Italy.

Steve, thank you. Perhaps I didn't explain myself properly - sorry. I am in Italy, and I had - incorrectly - thought that buying a Freesat from Sky card would give us E4 and More 4 with an 80cm dish here in Bagni di Lucca. However, whilst it has given us ITV1, Five, Fiver, Five US and Sky3, it does not enable you to pick up E4 or More 4 without a further subscription to Sky ROI.

Many thanks for the clarification and apologies for my misunderstanding, we're over in Le Marche and suspect that we are way outside any providers footprint!
Enjoy the viewing !
Hi Masca
Is this an Italian Sky or UK one. If UK one how do you get Freesat?
