Not sure if this has been posted previously, but Commissario Montalbano is on BBC Four this evening at 10.00pm and the second part Monday evening at 10.00pm

Is it the Italian original, subtitled? I was convinced that if the BBC did it, it would be their own version

A friend rang today and said it's the Italian version (with Sicilian dialect "Montalbano sono") with English subtitles. We loved the series when we saw it on DVD with Italian subtitles and look forward to eventually seeing the BBC4 series.
