What is a good price for plastering walls in Marche. If you have any reccomendations of anyone in and around the ascoli piceno area, would really appreciate it.
From my experience I would say you need to be looking at around the E15 per m2. I'm sure you will get quoted a lot more than this, but I have recently had work done on my place at this price by an Italian tradesman.
Good luck

It does depend on whether the walls need a base coat or just reskimming, also whether damp-proof plaster is used (expensive), what finish is required etc etc.
There is an Italian website that lists the prices per sqm for all building work (can't remember it off the top of my head at the mo') but it had about 30 different types of plastering all at different rates!
Just the same for you as a painter & decorator I'm sure. If you're having to prepare the walls before painting, is it fresh plasterwork or over old paint etc etc.they all involve less or more effort and therefore are more or less costly.

You're absolutely right, I should have provided more info. The plaster (base coat) was machine applied directly to newish sound walls so damp proof plaster not necessary and the finishing plaster trowlled to a smooth finish. The thickness applied in some areas was quite a lot though. The price of E15sqm was a very good price and I was quoted a lot more than this.
Actually the plasterer said it hadn't taken him quite as long as he thought and didn't charge me as much as E15/sqm...............a refreshing change

Not quite the same, but what's a good price for re-pointing? Brickwork is in reasonable condition, some cleansing required and a few missing bricks to be replaced. Mainly brick but with a mix of local stone in places.

They are a general builders but are happy to do smaller jobs too.
To my knowledge they are reliable and work to a good standard
and are not far from you.
Hope this helps.
