11348 What do you see?

I have my screen set on high visibility so it may just be the way I see things but I have just had a look at the B&B pages in the Accommodation section of Italy mag and I find that the pictures obscure some of the text.

Does this happen for anyone else?

looks fine to me....

Neilo what browser are you using ? every browser treats code differently- a total pain inthe a...e for web designers.

I get my sites done and checked on ie then I do firefox and fingers crossed thats ok but then you've got safari, opera etc etc.I've started using cascading style sheets in my layouts and these are not always fully 'understood' by all browers so you can get some wierd looking pages! You could try downloading firefox or safari to see if its any better.

Nielo,
I use Mozilla and everything is fine on that...

It looks like it is a browser problem, but I would have thought that as i.e. is the one which comes with windows and is therefore reasonably popular the site would have checked it out.

Perhaps it is just my resolution.

Does anyone else using i.e. have the same problem?

Just switched from Mozilla Firefox to IE7. Firefox ok, IE7 pics overlapping text.

I used Internet Explorer and everything works fine.

Hi Nielo
sorry mate, duff info from me, i only checked the front page, which is OK , but when you got to the link, the picture overlaps .......and yes it IE7

Apple have dispensed with Internet Explorer and vice versa. I use either Firefox or Safari, latest versions, and there are no problems with overlapping text. I do find the text that accompanies the pictures when you click annoyingly large. My screen resolution is 1024 X 768 pixels.

Well I can’t be bothered to change browser but if I were advertising, I’d be a bit cheesed off that anyone using IE7 gets such a poor advert. I’m sure there must be quite a few other users of the IE7 browser.

It only seems to happen in the Accommodation section.

Why not set up 2 browsers Nielo, then at least you can switch between them.

Good advice Geotherm and I might well do that. Most of the time everything is OK with IE7 and I have to admit it was just an idle moment looking at a friends advert that threw this up.

I have IE7 (which I hate...) and use Mozilla Firefox which I use for 99% of things.
I just leave IE7 there for when a site is not compatible with Mozilla - which is rarely!

In addition -MFF is much faster than IE7!

Just had a look and can confirm IE has the problem described (when one displays individual propert details). Another victim of the new release I fear. No doubt the software quality assurance team will be on it immediately. :nah:

Having checked back into the Pilot Report to see if the problem was encountered in testing.:laughs:
