11367 Another glitch?

When I see a post in ‘New posts' which has more than one page and I try to click on page 2 it takes me to page one anyway and I have to wait for page one to load and then move to page two. Does anyone else experience this?
Quite honestly the new refub has made things much more difficult for me, Because the text now extends further than the screen size, I have either to scroll right on every line or minimise the page to fit – in which case I can’t read the text anyway!

I don’t expect Poundbury Press or Ronald to loose sleep over my difficulties but if this site becomes even less user friendly and advertisers get fed up with users of IE7 not being able to see their adverts to the best advantage……..

Time to take note perhaps?

I've just tried it on my computer and it's OK this morning. I have I.E.7 too. If you want to go to the last post (rather than page 2) do you also use the little green arrow for 'last post' (next to the name of the person who just posted)? Try this and see if it causes the same problem.

Alternativley it could be something to do with your high visibility setting. Let me know where you change to this on your computer and I will try it out on mine. I have quite a wide screen width on my computer and I can test this against another computer with a normal width screen.

I'm not a techie, so if anyone else can shed light...

Isn't there a bit of code which means the site (rather than the browser) looks at the screen width before deciding how to display? This site clearly isn't using it, since the pages display 'fixed width' on both my laptop and my wide screen monitor. (To be honest, very few sites which I use do expand themselves to the full width of the wide screen - the BBC does.)

Having said that, this site is fine on the laptop under IE7 (except for the bed and breakfast pages, or at least they weren't right yesterday).
