I can only tell you that my English neighbour purchased it and found it a good idea but in practice didn't learn enough to improve her very basic Italian so she got a one to one Italian teacher. Sjhe described it as an expensive mistake.

Audio-visual courses are a good aid in the process of learning, but nothing can beat a good teacher. After all, language is communication and you cannot communicate with a CD-rom.
I have used the first course. I found it easy to do as there is visual as well as audio which helps and it builds up your vocabularyThe only disadvantage I found was that the pictures that go with the phrases can sometimes be a bit vague i.e. One time a child will be ragazzo and the next picture he can be bambino. Kills me to get things wrong in these quizzes .
There is also a facility to test your own Italian which is good . It helps to build up confidence . I still cant speak very much Italian but I am getting old with very little brain cells left firing on all cylinders . It is also quite expensive. Would I buy it again. Yes . My understanding of how Italian is phrased is much better and it is slowly sinking in.
