Hi - if you are travelling south from Milan, Genova or Parma then Biciclo Benvenuti nel sito di Biciclo in Aulla MS would not be too much of a detour.
We use Elisabeta for our B&B guests who need bikes. Because they run a huge trade/online business as well, their stock is modern and they will set up the bikes to your personal requirements in advance.
Good luck and happy hols

The folks at BikeRentalsPlus.com will deliver road, mountain and and hybrid bikes for your holiday. They also may have a supplier near the Garfagnana so you don't have to pay a delivery fee: www.BikeRentalsPlus.com
Hi Iain,
We have a cycle hire business here (unfortunately not in Garfagnana).
The difficulty here is in order to set up a cycle rental business, you must have a licence from the comune in the exact same way as a car hire company. This puts a lot of bike shops (the usual place to look for a rental bike) off from doing it as a sideline. It may also take them into a different tax regime (not something undertaken lightly here!).
The upshot is it is very difficult to find cycle hire places. Our experience here is that the ones available free at agriturismos and hotels are generally in a poor state of repair or maintenance and even the owners admit they don't have time to maintain them.
I would suggest contacting wherever you are staying and see if they have some contact via the local bike club or rethink bringing your own.
Now of course if you were coming to the Sibillinis we could rent you one of ours!
