A wonderfully poignant piece of Neapolitan folklore - with so many various - but all very moving versions. How can one ever tire hearing of such 'love of ones [I]paese[/I]'?

Three very different versions, but all beautiful and heartfelt. The photos of the arrivals into America are also very interesting.

I have nothing to contribute to these Italian music threads (because I am on a journey of enlightenment), but I am really enjoying them. Keep them coming...

These wonderful, and varied, 'insights' into the folklore of Italian music, food, culture etc. that some of us are able to post and discuss here are the things that many incomers are often totally unaware of.

It's satisfying to hear/read comments like those made by Persphone which shows that it is often worth while sharing our own favourites with those who enjoy learning about the 'true Italy'!
