Hi Darren

Are you trying to arrange this from the UK? If yes, then it will be difficult. For me, Italians are face to face people and more than that they operate through connections/networks. I suggest you try to get to know people in the village/town where your property is. Visit the bar, local shop etc. and ask around. How do you arrange the changeovers for your property, who is the key holder? perhaps that person can help.

Hi Darren and Tracy,
With regards to your question on a reputable key holding/property management company based in Calabria. Myself and my partner are in the process of setting up a company called 'Calabria Management' which will be based in Pizzo. We have 15 years of experience in similar fields and we will be moving permanently to Calabria in June of this year. We have our website currently under construction and are going to inspect suitable office premises in February. We have our team of professionals already organised, we are just in the process of finishing off the finer details.
If you would like more details on the nature of our business etc; please don't hesitate to contact myself @ paulmdonnell@hotmail.com.
Yours sincerely,
Paul McDonnell

A girlfriend in France told me about neighbours of hers with a gite complex who were offering free accommodation for the spring/summer in part of the property in return for maintenance & handover duties. I strongly suspect they are going to be inundated with applicants but, nonetheless, it's quite an interesting idea assuming you can find the right couple.
Generally though I would fully agree with Aretina that word and mouth on the ground is best.
