Hi how many windows/doors do you need? you could save a huge amount of cash if you buy them in france and get them transported down to Italy , friends of ours did this and saved themselves 1000s! You want to check out polish sites for windows as they produce mainly for the German marketplace and the german norms are toughest in europe as regards thermal resistance. You want a minimum k-value (thermal resistance ) of 1,0 W/m2 K nothing else is worth installing.
The values above is for the glass when the frame is included the k-values jump up ~20% for wooden frames ~35% for aluminium frames and don't get me started on plastic windows which are toxic to say the least. 1st & 2nd place pollutants in Europe are plastic manufacturers. Yukkk never!!!:winki:
