JC thanks for the insight - do you know does a panel of experts get the list down to 15 or is that part of the public vote?

I have not being able to listen to any of this year's contestants. I do hope that they will be better than the 2008 ones. Hubby always buys the CD and the last was a big disappointment. I think that we played it only once....

We saw some of this festival on TV at the Pizzeria..........so painful to listen to people who can't sing and that are even worse to watch, so ate fast and left!!! Must be an acquired taste?

Hi really like this year Sanremo's opening!
That let people know about famous artists of the Italian song unknown abroad and brushes up the Canzone Italiana's story.

I confess I totally disagree with the Big's winner..According to me, Marco Carta is an italian tv product..not a real singer..

Anyway I like very much the Giovani's winner - Arisa. A singer with a strong personality who is attracting media and public attention.
