11477 Urgent English/Italian tax advice required

Hi there.
I am desperate to find out if my husband is liable to pay tax here in Italy. He is employed in England and pays tax there even though he is a resident here and works remotely. His company is concerned that they will end up with a huge tax bill and needs some assurance or he will end up staying and working in England until they work it out. There must be lots of people doing the same here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.:veryconfused:

Because Italy and the UK have the usual agreements in place about 'not paying tax twice' (you can see I don't know a lot about this stuff!) I don't think you have much to worry about - but MJM should be able to reassure you and your husband's company. I'm sure his expertise does not come for free, so it might be worth a quick e-mail to him outlining your position and asking for a 'quote' for his advice.

Montemary, I've sent you a private message.
