11620 Visiting Trieste

I am going to visit family in Trieste in April, I shall be staying in the ??????? hotel.

Can anyone recommend a good restaurant near by?

Please don’t give the name as it may infringe forum rules. A general description will do. I shall have a police inspector with me and I’m sure he will hunt it down.

I was conceived in Trieste and we went to visit the city last year. Truly loved it. A lot has been spent upon restoration and considerable civic pride is obvious everywhere you walk. Try and get a copy of Jan Morris's book about Trieste, sad in a way but beautifully written as you'd expect. I asked locals for a good restaurant and my was it good. I have posted all the info I have in the Friuli section for you.
