IMHO the google search is vastly superior to the forum search when it comes to phrases etc and I think it may also drive some more traffic to the site. if you go to the magazine homepage (not the forum home page) there is a "google custom search" box near the top right - that will return results form the forum too.
Alternatively, just put site:italymag.co.uk as part of a standard google query and it will return results from that website only - which accomplishes the same thing. Here's an example [url=http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=site%3Aitalymag.co.uk+%22calvi+dell%27umbria%22+%2B+builder&btnG=Search&meta=]google search[/url] that illustrates the syntax.
