Yes I think it must be the new Rolls Royce Punto, the HERTZ price was a real shock, it has gone mad, the other price I didn't think was too bad, but please let me know if you have found a better alternative.

The quote was just a backup plan as I may already be over there on those dates with a van, if so I will pick up my pax from Fertilia in that.

I think I read that you had made the mover to V permanently, congratulations on that, I've still got a five year sentence here to do yet. Until then, once the house is finally fettled at the end of this month, I will be spending as much time as I can out there and renting out to friends, colleagues and family.

Going back to transport, have you worked out the best way to run a car over there?, I am currently thinking that unless we are living there, hire is probably the best way.

No ours is still a holiday home although we try to be over once a month.Let us know how you get on with that hire company we always use Europcar.I guess being Easter that's why Hertz gave you a high price.I think until your permanent car hire is the way to go.

Hi, have you tried booking directly with Hertz? We are also going out at Easter and would normally book our car hire at the same time as the flights, but we had the same problem as you, so booked on the Hertz website directly without using the Ryanair link and managed to save £200 !

Have a lovely time over Easter, hopefully the weather will warm up, friends tell me that there was snow in our village a few weeks ago, not the kind of weather you expect in Sardinia !

It's a lot warmer now.We had three great day's on the beach the mercury was pushing 25c and the Swallows are back.Spring is here!
