11819 Long holiday rental wanted

With no movement on my house sale in Northern Ireland, I'm considering a bit of a Spring break to cheer me up. Does anyone know of (or own) an apartment or small house that I could rent for, say, six to eight weeks at modest cost?

My favourite parts of Italy are Umbria and Southern Tuscany, but I would be more than happy to try another location.

(I have looked at the online adverts here, but there isn't much that's suitable for one person. Nor any that are cheap enough. )

Maybe if you could give some idea of dates you may get more response.

Steve

Would you consider North Tuscany? If yes, I'll ask around.

Isolated and rural or small town? It would help a lot if I knew what sort of budget you have (PM me).

My niece is looking to rent her holiday place for any short/long rental and it is vacant. But it is at the top end of Lake Como at Colico. The place is in a restructured mountain house that was turned into four apartments. It has fitted kitchen/diner/lounge (small), shower room and toilet with washing machine and which opens up onto a small private courtyard with parkiing for four cars on ground floor. Then a spiral staircase to the large upstairs bedroom . This could sleep four, but is arranged as a double bedroom and a lounge which has a small balcony with a view over the lake and the mountains. I know the price is very reasonable and could be open to negotiation.

I stayed there myself for four months when I was waiting for my place to be completed... it's OK for a family, but great for a couple or a single person.

If you're interested send me a PM.

I'm surprised to say that I've had quite an overwhelming number of responses by PM, as well as the replies here. I now have some websites to peruse to try to make my mind up. Thank you everyone.
