11818 Warning new charges on Ryanair

Just seen this today and I really do not think it is a joke

Ryanair says it may charge passengers £1 each to spend a penny on planes. But we have discovered a safety card revealing that the plans of its chief executive, Michael O'Leary, do not stop there ...

1 In the event of a sudden loss of pressure, oxygen masks will descend. Please insert £1 coin to release the flow.

2 Adopt the crash position, with your head between your legs. There you will find details of our Compassion scheme, notifying next of kin of your love. Fees are payable by direct debit.

3 Emergency exits are located to the side and rear of the cabin. These are easily activated with a swipe of a credit card.

4 Evacuation chutes will inflate externally, for hire at a rate of £5 per person. Please pay before jumping.

5 At the bottom of the chute, crew will hold you in position until rescue boats arrive. Tickets £10 each.

6 Thank you for reading this. A dissemination fee will be deducted automatically from the account with which you booked your flight. Please fly Ryanair again. We know you have a choice.

Regards JoJo

I know the subject of Ripoffair has been battered to death but this thread is just making a joke of the whole subject. Very funny JoJo. Love it, and the way Ripoffair are going, those 'extras' will be in force before the school summer holiday rush :laughs:

Ye Gods!!! The unmitigated cheek!!!

Very funny Jojo :laughs:

Take the train guys

Funny joke Jojo...
I prefer the one about the 5 £ to be paid before jumping! :laughs:...and If I only have Euros in my pocket? Lol

Cristiana

1. I think we should always be referring to Units of Currency:laughs:.
2. I'm absolutley sure I saw a post from Sally on this? Don't we normally get to see the reason for a deletion by admin?:veryconfused:

...3. I'm confused as you are, Persephone. Not all mods act in the same way..but as a famous italian adv said "io, guardo il risultato"..was it the same in English?

Or, at least it would be good for clarity's sake to see from the Moderator acknowledgement that the post has been deleted and the rationale for that action.

OK folks, I owe you an explanation. Sally asked publicly for the thread to be deleted and I considered that unreasonable, as did most people who responded. JoJo appealed to the Mods and I took the decision to remove Sally's post and all the subsequent posts that referred to it, in order to prevent the thread from being hi-jacked. Thank you for your input, but please can we now, out of respect for JoJo, keep to the subject of the thread.

Well, we should always bear in mind the laws of unintended consequences :bigergrin::bigergrin:

Marc then yes you should have told me. I reiterate. I asked Jojo to contact Admin as I honestly thought she would be ridiculed by others. Thereafter I immediately left the thread after posting and returned to it today. Had I seen it, the thread, was posted as a joke I would have retracted the request by deleting the post.

Oh this is incredible....

I spend a lot of time and care with my posts trying to look at things from both sides of the coin - I try very hard not to offend people and if I joke around I use a lot of visual aids to try and get across the fact that I'm joking, or I'm angry - whatever t is at that moment.

I did that yesterday with the post to Sal about her asking for a thread to be deleted, and can understand why (though I DON'T like it) why it was chucked out with the baby and the bathwater as being 'guilty by association'.

But now, having just read Pigro's thread (and commented), I return here only to find that my latest post regarding IM Rules has gone the same way...

AND (this does make me mad) not ONE word of explanation in pulblic, private or indeed anywhere from the powers that be... :madd:

Well if that's the way you want to play it - what's the point?

Hello all once again, JoJo or should that now be joker

In the first instance I do not post that often as I never feel I have anything of value to contribute and so when I wished to share a joke with you all I feel that I was quite rudely told to delete my thread and a lot of lovely people stuck up for me for which I thank you for.
.
Now it seems that dear old Sally thought I would be ridiculed and as we are all faceless (as it were) on this forum it is easy enough to have an assumption about someone but let me tell you Sally that I firstly take orders from no one and secondly I am a true Sard and assure you that no-one but no-one would dare ridicule me. What I intended to be a joke has somehow created discord here and I urge all to have another giggle, lets move on and apologies to all for any offence and I would appreciate an apology in return.

Kind Regards

JoJo

And so very spunky for a 3rd post :winki:

ermmmm wasn't there a separate section for Ryanair items?
Such a shame when these forums (forii?) descend into argument about, well nothing as far as some of us (well, I) can see.
Loved the list of new Ryanair/Ripoffair charges....

Have Ryanair thought this through?

What this really means is that people wont spend $5 for the booze on their flights, just to pay another $1 to watch it come out again! The loss on booze takings will kill any profit that might have made.....

If they do it let's see who has the last laugh! Talk about taking the pi$$!!!!

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Another charge from the European favorite airline!!
