Did you not get a receipt?
Most cleaners give out a ticket, which must be produced in order to reclaim the items. If you do have the receipt, it is evidence that you left your linen at the shop.
You could also ask the shop if they are insured against such loss and they can claim against their insurer, then you cab use the cash to replace the list linen. Might take a while though!

This is bad news, I'm sorry to hear about it. Whilst this is not what you want to her, but if you want another laundry service, drop me a PM as ours is great (and gives receipts)

Wow. We've only had really good experiences with her. She couldnt be nicer! We drop in bed linen regularly. She irons it, wraps it up in paper with bows for us and couldnt be cheaper. Must be the Irish charm......

Never been given a receipt, the cleaners is just one man band and until now had no problems always neatly wrapped up and ready to be picked up.There has always been an understanding that sometimes it could be a few months before we would be able to pick up the cleaning. So surprised at her attitude, lack of help and throwing the responsibility on us saying we should not have left them for 3 months.
She is not denying that she took the washing in ,and we can appreciate that sometimes things can go missing , but her attitude in this case is very hard to understand!! This is a large amount of washing which we would like back
I am sure (or at least we hope) someone will have had the washing picked up by a cleaner or friend who will realise the mistake when they return to their house after the winter
Methinks, I know this place. Owner with a face like she is chewing a wasp?
I asked my neigbours what you could do and they said nothing. Unless you have witnesses to say they saw you leave the linen and then witnesses to say they saw the owner give it to someone else. Honestly!:nah:
My advice would be pester power.
And maybe repost nearer to the Easter hols. If a cleaning lady has picked it up by mistake, the (holiday) owners won't notice until they come out.
