Has anyone yet found a way to avoid driving a U.K. registered car back to the U.K. for an MOT, without reregistering the car as Italian? Are there any garages that will do it on mainland Europe if not Italy?thank you!

From what I've read you have to register the car in Italy after 1 year.

If the car is registered as British, you need a British MOT. You anyway have a legal obligation to reregister the car in Italy - unavoidable if you are resident.
