469 Why can't I log on?

This is a message to Ronald possibly.

My husband "Wol" has logged on and ticked the box saying "remember me" or something and now can't logoff. When I try to log him off to logon as myself it says it has cleared the cookie but as soon as I go back to the forum he is still logged on and I can't logon. What is going on?

Try logging out then closing the browser you use. After, go to your cookies file and delete any cookies that are stored for italymag and then try again. If that doesn't work try going to Tools then Options in your browser and delete temp internet files (not cookies) and clear your history. CLose the browser, reopen and then log in. HTH

if you simply "Log Out" then the cookies should automatically be cleared and you can log on as another user. If that doesn't work its probably something to do with the specific browser you are using. However, I will try to see if we can have this alternative option...

Ronald,
For the last few days my computer all of a sudden refuses to remember my username and password. When I looked into my cookie file I could not find a cookie from ItalyMag, or any similar name. This would explain why my computer stopped remembering these little facts.

Is there anything that changed at your end to cause this condition? I.E., why don't I have a cookie from you? My computer setting is very liberal as far as cookies are concerned, practically every site I visit leaves a cookie on my machine; why not yours?
