494 Our first year in Umbria

Hi

My name is Christine and my family and I have just completed our first year. I am currently writing a short account of the highs and lows, (mostly highs). I have been teaching English as a Foreign language in Arezzo and my husband and I have started a property management business which includes letting holiday homes for families both Italian and foreign and maintaining second homes. All this with not a word of Italian when we first moved here! Its been a challenge and lots of fun and I have no regrets at all. Happy to share stories or pass on our experiences with anyone.

It would be great to hear about how you're getting on adjusting to a new life...

You say you're teaching English... is that in a language school or private tuition?

Hi Stephanie

I am teaching in the British Institute in Arezzo. I did a TEFL course before coming to Italy and it has been a great investment.
