553 Flat Furnishing in Treviso / Veneto / Italy

Hi There

I'm new to the boards. Myself and my wife are just about to move to Italy - we're moving over on Sunday. We have rented a flat over here but it is unfurnished. Can anyone help us with recommended stores for:

White Goods - Washing Machine needed!
Electrical Goods - Kettle, Iron, Microwave etc!
Furniture - Sofa, Dining Table & Chairs, (Sofa) Beds needed

Are there general large stores recommended in Italy? i.e. like an Argos or something and do they have websites with site locations?

Best bet will probably be the Bergamin on the road from Treviso to Castelfranco. Bit like an italianised IKEA.

We have found large supermarkets best value for white goods. Big Carrefour at Thienne is excellent, but we had our car broken into there so be cautious!

Sure you will love Treviso, we do!

great, thanks for your help. It's good that there seems to be general consensus on how nice Treviso is!

do you have any tips for Treviso that could help us? Myself and wife are flying in this Sunday.

It may be further than you would wish to travel, but on the outskirts of Vicenza there is Ovvio. Very like IKEA, maybe slightly better quality and some prices slightly higher. It is a few years since we shopped there, but in many ways I preferred it to IKEA so may be worth a look if you are in the area.
