589 Info on Bordighera, please !

I am what you might call an adult gap year student ! I was made redundant from my main job at the beginning of the year and as I've been studying Italian for a couple of years, decided to try travelling around Italy a bit, staying here and there to hopefully improve on my knowledge of the language and the country. I am currently staying in Diano Marina. Unfortunately, seems like work is a bit scarce here, which comes as a bit of a surprise. Apart from my secretarial qualifications, I have a lot of experience (part time job in England) as a waitress / bartender / receptionist in hotels and restaurants. Have heard that there are a lot of English people settled in Bordighera. Any information about the resort would be welcome - ie, finding summer work, renting apartment, etc. Come to that, any suggestions about other regions would be useful. Bordighera has its own website. [url]www.bodighera.it[/url]. It was once a place for English over winter residents but now it is a rather lovely resort with lots of chic small shops.

Bordighera is a lovely village... but a bit too calm... families with kids go there... I would suggest you should go to the riviera Romagnola... more work and more fun! You are a bit late though, the summer season is getting at its pick!
