673 The biggest difference

It suddenly occured to me that the biggest difference I could think of between Italy and the UK is, in summer when you see a forcast of light rain, you think "Ohh, that'll be nice..." :D

Hear, hear, George! I've been up a six every morning watering my neighbour's newly planted lawn and shrubs for 2 hours and doing a little rain dance.
If you can hang on for two weeks, my article about Canyoning in the August edition of Italy magazine will be a refreshing paen to the joys of jumping about in waterfalls at the height of the summer.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, water..................

Even after six years abroad I still cannot bring myself to complain about rain (and there is more than enough here...).

Ahhh, mighty praetor, BUT, it is Irish rain, which helps to make a certain drink which can, I believe help you talk to the little people...

Indeed, the black stuff is certainly better around these parts. Mind you, I never realised how many shades of green there were until I moved here, or that grass could give way under you when it was wet enough - did a fairly impressive double somersault at Blarney Castle over Christmas as a result(it took two days to get the grass and mud out of the digital camera...).

I don't know about talking to the little people - but a few drinks of it it I'll certainly talk to anyone :D
