798 Home insurance

I have recently purchased a renovated Trullo in puglia and am looking to insure it so I urgently need advice on this matter. I plan to visit the Trullo about 5-6 times a year before finally retiring out there in 4-5 years time. I am also driving down to Ostuni later this month and would appreciate advice on the shortest/fastest route. If anyone is looking to purchase in the Ostuni area I have an excellent contact.

Need to get ours sorted - have had Holiday Homes insurance with Intasure for a year (cost approx 20 pounds per month).

Have read somewhere on The Forum about someone paying only 35 Euros per year but I think they may be residents/living in Italia permanently. Would be interesting to find out more as we are moving over to our casa in Abruzzo in about six weeks and taking up residency so the Holiday Homes insurance will have to go.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I arranged my home insurance through my Estate Agent.

It is with GAN, [I think - the papers are in Italy], and is for house [value approx 100.000 Euros] plus something for contents [not a lot] plus liability to neighbours etc.

It cost me 81 Euros when I renewed it in April this year [up from 76 Euros last year]
