the easiest solution to me would be to take your test in englnd and get a license and then switch it... not because ofyour italian which you say you speak but the system is far more complicated here...however if you live in say calabria...the price for a guaranteed licence no questions asked is e400... no theory..no test...

I don't wont to seem moralist,
BUT IT'S ILLEGAL AND A CRIMINAL BAHAVIOUR
to purchase driving licenses.
If someone do it (italian or english is the same) can be even arrested by the police since he's guilty in front of the law.
This is not a pictoresque "italian way of life", but, I repeat, something criminal.
If you wont to get your driving license you can do as the 99,99% of the italian do: go to a "scuola guida" or do practice with an expert by your side, and than have your final examination, without illegal shortcuts

as i said in my original message....i would prefer to do things officially. i am not stupid.
baci!
You need to go to a Scuola Guida and enrole there. they will give you theory and drivig lessons. You will need to sit a theory test that is usually not so easy to pass ( but i am a woman and when it comes to cars everything seems difficult to me) and then a driving test.
It is not the quickest thing to do... it takes a few months.
You could do it yourself as a privatista, but it is a bit more complicated, the paperwork is quite honerous.
