800 Train Journeys

I am going on holiday in Italy in September, I have a train pass (4 days consecutive/non consecutive days in 2months) I am starting in Rome and will take the train to Florence where we will spend a few days, and then travel to Milan.
Roughly how long will each trip take? Should I allow a days travel for each journey? Also when in Florence we were hoping to take a train to Pisa, but so far I haven't found any information about that, could anyone help?

Thanks! :)

The best on-line 'rail planner' I have come across for anywhere in Europe is -

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?

It should be able to give you all the info on times/routes etc

The trenitalia website gives timetables, journey times etc.

Alan Haynes - thanks the website adress you give is fantastic - immediately return detailed options for travel between countries and obscure regional station - no useless graphics & instant return even over my very slow connection on old pc - now bookmarked!!

I checked out http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en? and found it is really very good! One can even book hotel rooms at the destination.
