820 Holiday in Puglia

My partner has agreed for me to book our 2006 holiday without me telling him where we are going. I'm planning to go to the Puglia region sometime during the first half of June as I need to be back in the country for my Dad's 80th birthday on 24th June.

Does anybody know of a good hotel (at least four star) that operates on a half board basis. The plan is for a 10 day holiday with friends joining us after three days as an extra surprise.

We booked to go to the Salamina Manor in Sept and the company were really helpful. They have luxury hotels as well as Farm Houses which provide full and half board along with B&B and S/C

The Citadel in Puglia looks nice.

Do you know where in Puglia you'd like to go? Do you want to stay in the same place for all 10 days? I have some ideas for you...

I have no fixed idea where I want to stay as I've not been to this region before. Yes, ideally I would want to stay in the same place for the whole ten days. After all, this is to be a relaxing holiday when we would expect to see some of the places of interest in the area without rushing around like mad things trying to cram as much in as possible!!

I stayed here last year - Cognoscenti rename all the hotels on their website so people can't go direct, but they were good to go through.

The place was lovely, beautiful unique rooms and wonderful staff. The lunches are worth the stay alone!
