Following on from the recent edition of ItalyMag that featured Panarea, I was curious as to how many other small Italian islands there are out there, other than the well known ones such as Sicily, Sardinia, Capri, Ischia and Elba.
This is the list I came up with (thanks to my trusty atlas) and I was wondering how much, if anything, we know about these islands:
Add Tremiti Islands. It's an archipelago in Puglia, Adriatic sea, in front of Gargano.
3 small islands:
San Domino, all covered by pines, with wonderful beaches, cliffs, clear water, a paradise for diving
San Nicola, the historical one, with the old town, the cathedral, no trees only white houses
Capraia, inhabitated, no trees, only rocks
I suggest a trip in September or June, less people, but still good sea
