1123 italian cookbooks

hello everyone,i would like to recommend a book by anna del conte called-the gastronomy of italy.although it has about 200 recipes it is predominately a sourcebook.it gives information on the different regions of italy and foods unique to each region.meat to chocolate,fruit and cheese-it is very informative and well written.a good book to have when you see something in the deli and have no idea what it is!i know that it is for sale on amazon.i have some of her other books and all of them are worth buying.

It is well thumbed, and the recipes are superb. The 125 page introduction is excellent too, covering everything from pasta - through fruit & veg - to liqueurs (and lots, lots more).

There is a very good new cookbook on the market called, "Classic Italian Cooking, Recipes for mastering the Italian kitchen", by Valentina Harris.

It's published by MQ Publications Limited

It's written in simple terms, with easy to follow directions. I find it a great reference guide and these classic recipes are delightful!
