Any DFRA limitations to taking out plants? I have several bread trays full of lovely things to bring in my van and dont want to be stopped at customs? All are clean and well looked after. Hope they will like Italy.... Janet

If you pack them in a box in straw or dried sphagnum moss they should keep well enough for a year or two in a cool, dry place. Alternatively, you could always grow them on in pots while you are waiting for your garden to be ready.

Congrats on becoming a paediatrician BTW, do you have regular markets down there, most of the bulbs i've bought were from the markets, and, pretty sure they're around most of the year, but, I could be wrong...

I can't see any major problems either, although I might be tempted to get them into the ground in March, just make sure they're clean, dry and dark when stored.
