Mark, there are many possibilities for an English teacher here at the moment. Drawbacks, if working in the school system the wages are not good, if working privately, you can charge more, but (there's always a but!!) there will be times when work drops right off and payments can be sporadic ;) (Domani) You should start a TEFL course too as most potential employers will want to see TEFL qualifications, another potential difficulty for you is that about one in four of the people coming over from the UK intend teaching English. Good Luck.

Thanks for you advice..!!I have decide to do my first idea which was join the police here in UK!!

My partner is at uni over there...i dont there are any prospects of me getting a job over there in future as police is what i want!!!It would be very hard to do that over there...but who knows.....im starting a basic italian course as im serious about learning the language!!!Not only for my partner (who speaks good English) but because i want another language to speak...plus lots of her family dont speak much or very little English!!

Would be grateful for any future advice!! :)

Good on yer Mark, opportunities come at many stages in your life, learning the language will add another string to your bow. When you're running Interpol, could you errrm, "lose " my file, it was all lies anyway... ;)
