1240 Property care in PUGLIA

We have heard of a couple based in San Vito dei Normanni , Puglia who are starting a 'looking after you land /house' service in the surrounding area.

Apparantly , if you are not here permnanenetly , they will look after the land...water, prunes trees, pick and store fruit etc..and even get house ready for you when you come out.

Don't know costs etc. but think they charge a set monthly amount....if anyone is interested I'll find out more. :cool:

Dear Alex and Lynn,

Would be interested in the "getting house ready" bit not the gardening (already have a gardener). We're thinking of letting our house for a couple of weeks and would like to know it someone would clean,leave a welcome pack, wash sheets etc.

Hi,

I have also found a company in Mesagne that will look ofter our House when we are away, they operate from as far as Fasano to Lecce and province.

They will take care of all handyworks (with previous consent), the garden, land and trees. They also offer services like cleaning and washing, will register as the emergency contact in case of alarm going off (GREAT STUFF), and as we sometimes rent it out they will also act a meeter-greeter for our guests!!!

They have asked me to be the translator for them with English speaking people; in the meantime, my wife, being a teacher of English is teaching them as fast as she can, lol.

We are moving to Puglia soon (just south of Brindisi). Although we are planning to retire and take it easy, for sure Bob will get restless. He has a home maintenance and gardening business in UK ([url]www.thehandyhubby.co.uk[/url]) and would probably welcome the opportunity to do a spot of work once we are settled (probably November)!

I have been told that they charge about €30.00 for meeter greeter. thats for propertis in Ostuni - Mesagne area.

Regarding prices on cleaning, trimming, washing, ironing etc.... they would like to arange a meeting at the property in question so they can have a better understanding of the job in hand, and most of all you can explain them face to face what you need. Then sort out the cost of the service.

Unfortunately they still a bit behind with english so I or my wife will have to translate.....hope you do not mind us being there.
