Inter Milan coach Jose' Mourinho will face no charges linked to a Manchester United fan's claim the Portuguese manager punched him after Inter's Champions League defeat at Old Trafford last month.
The Greater Manchester Police said there were no grounds for prosecuting Mourinho after they looked at CCTV footage from outside the ground where the incident was alleged to have taken place.
The Manchester Evening News website reported that the fan had in any case withdrawn his accusation.
Mourinho, whose side lost 2-0 to go out of the tournament, never received notification he was under investigation.
He denied any incident took place.
