I'm not sure which one of us is stupid....
Well it's not me...
Are you serious or am I mis-reading your humour? Where I come from, the reference in this context to whatever amount of arms and legs, or any other body part referred to (mine), basically means LOTS OF MONEY. To most of us, I'd say, lots of money is much the same. Something nearing the end of our affordability scale. I did say that this was a fairly superficial question, and if you're confused why bother replying?
Money to burn?? During the 16 years I've been married we've probably purchased 4 suites of furniture for the house, the last one being leather. The thought being that if we bought a good quality, good looking, hard wearing, more expensive product this time it might last longer saving us... yes, money! Actually, half a suite because we couldn't afford the sofa!
Being a more than occasional evening and Sunday afternoon loafer I'll unashamedly say that the chairs are the most comfortable I've ever had and given the right price I'd definitely get some more. Hence the question.
I wouldn't say that was particularly decadent, would you? I'm talking chairs here, not swimming pools!
Money to burn = 'the guy down the road from me' + 'the helicopter in his back garden'
Anyway, alex and lyn, thanks for that. I looked at the website. Sounds like a good price to me. I'd say the prices for the same product over here would be more than double that.
Cheers
Sorry Derek,
I was having a bad day as well, what I meant was, how can anyone tell you how much cheaper, or more expensive something is without having an indication of the cost, and, type of furniture, when you think about it, it isn't possible is it?, BUT, badly phrased on my part, proving I was the stupid one, however, you can frequently find with the furniture trade that they sell more cheaply abroad than in their home market where they will be trying to create a price based on quality, as opposed to opening a market place on price and quality ( if that makes sense :) )
Cheers. No problem. Crap question from me.
DerekL Chill, Its Georges sense of humour. :D
Thanks Lyn, just a rough idea of price as the bed area is in a Trullo alcove, may have to build bed to fit!
Cheers
Ok, I'll try and remember next time... Bad day at the office.
Money to burn indeed! I had to sell my Lamborghini to get those chairs! And did I mention going to school with no shoes, through fields....? ;)

I'm not sure which one of us is stupid, how could anyone advise on whether a price of 2 arms and a leg is cheap??????. Or are you trying to tell us you have taste and money to burn
