830 Daily diet

I have (re-re)re-commenced by Italian language lessons & hoping that by sheer will more of it will go in at this time(!), but I'm hoping to change things a bit.......

On our last visit to Italy we met with a fascinating local businessman who advised that he found he made the greatest steps when learning English by taking a newspaper & reading the language on a daily basis (whether he understood it or not!). That way, he advised, there was 'something' going in on a regular basis.

Does anyone know, or could they recommend a 'good' Italian language news site that isn't the deep end; I might not be ready for that yet!

I was watching BBC2 Learning Zone in the early hours this morning (couldn't sleep so put the TV on). They were showing the Italianissimo series but between the programmes, they showed an interview with someone who moved to Italy without speaking Italian. She said that she either read, watched or listened to some Italian just before going to bed and she found that helped her.

well I read [url]www.corriere.it[/url], or [url]www.repubblica.it[/url]. Tw very good italian newpapers.
Have a look at [url]www.rai.it[/url] as you can listen to the news and also watch them.
I would suggest dvds with english subtitles....

I think these lanuages are noty so much tough to learn in these days because there are many sources from where you can get good coaching about the diff. languages. I am also taking help for custom college essay writing and I have a great site studyclerk and I always like their way they help the students and they issue best stuff from their website.

i had studied italian before coming here to quite a reasonable level or so i thought but cultural regional aspects are not to be underestimated so i started buying every day what is still considered the foremost italian paper (politics aside) Corriere della Sera,they ,of course have also a web site.
i also listen and still do to Radio 3 -(RAI 3) I suppose an equivalent to radio 4 from BBC, PEOPLE SPEAK WELL,and more interestingly have something to say,music is fantastic,concerts ,classical,jimmy hendrix,poetry,literature and informed news which does not happen elsewhere especially on tv dedicated mainly to the antics of the prime minister,footballers speaking (the pits in any country) and tits etc.
so try that newspaper,Radio 3, and if you can get it try RAI SAT the satellitite tv of italian boadcasting which anyway is better than what comes out of the aerial...

Being impossibly nerdy, I have also found that it is possible to get regular podcasts (regularly updated audio files that can be downloaded onto an iPod or similar) of Italian news broadcasts from a link in About.com ([url]http://italian.about.com/b/a/176267.htm)[/url].
