Just a thought Robert, dont know if you are here all the time or how good your Italian maybe, but my neighbour has offered to teach me how to make pasta from scratch (as she does everyday), do you have neighbours that might do that? also if you have any friendly restuarant owners they may be happy to let you sit in... on a quiet day!You need to be a good customer however.
I do have friends that organise this on a residential basis, and they may have ideas for how you may do this whilst you actually live here, I will ask and pm you.

I thought that I Piceni in Ortezzano did a half day cooking course with the chef there and then sit and enjoy lunch!

Thanks to everyone for your replies. Unfortunately none of the leads give me what I am looking for which is a non-residential course of say 5 days. The course was a present to us from our 4 children on our 30th wedding anniversary about 3 years ago so its about time we made up our minds and decided where to go. I had been hoping we'd find one in Le Marche we could commute to from our house when we were there but it seems the course providers really want to sell you the accommodation also,in fact more so than the cooking.

As guests stay in local agriturismo's rather that on site, perhaps you might be able to do a non-residential deal with La Culinaria?

They also offer tailor made courses -
If you would like to discuss a tailor made course, please call +447733266700 or email laculinaria@yahoo.co.uk

Sorry, I probably didn't make it clear, but call the people I mentioned and I am sure they will arrange something non-residential for you. It is just that their website is geared up for visstors. They are in Penna.

Thanks Anne2 and Penny. I'll contact your recommendations.

Hi Robert
Rita and Pauline specialise in authentic Marchegiani cooking specific to the Amandola/Servigliano area (including hand made pasta). They are happy to offer you a personalised, non-residential course - they are very flexible and so can include any specific recipes/ techniques you request. If you are interested, PM em & I will let you have Pauline e-mail address - they are based near Amandola
Chris
Sorry I don’t know of any in Le Marche but others might. There is a very good one in Abruzzo, let me know if you want the details.
