1303 Blimey norah!

I have just found a particularly fascinating (but maybe a bit nerdy!) website called Google Earth.

http://earth.google.com/

It allows you to 'scan' the world, zoom into any country & get a wonderful view of (almost) anywhere as if you are flying. It's a totally lazy way to discover Italy. It's a 3D model of the real world, based on real satellite images combined with maps that allows you to zoom from space to street level instantly and then pan or jump from place to place, city to city, even country to country.

Yes, it sounds totally sad, but belive me, it's more than a little addictive!

LOL! Yes, we came across it some weeks ago. The pictures are really amazing! Great detail, but in some areas they're still in development.

Enjoy! :)

If you want some more addiction here are two more:

maps.google.com
worldwind.arc.nasa.gov

clipped these (and the earth google) couple of days ago from a newspaper but
haven't had the time to 'addict'. I suppose it's the same as when I found this
forum; four hours in a row in two evenings to go through all threads.
