easier said than done.... not finding the scooter.. there are loads of free mags here ....they always advertise them ....just go into a central bar or otherwise there are free add papers in newsagents generally coloured yellow or blue...make sure you get the right one for your area ....cost about e1

you will need your residency to purchase one...plus insurance arranged and now that they have dropped notaries out of the process i am not sure who does the contract....driving schools generally have a service.... but anyway it will not be simple...

am not sure how far along the special licence to be able to drive one of these has got... because of the amounts of deaths amongst scooter riders...outnumbering even the cyclists they were talking about compulsory education for riding one... i think now they can take the scooter off you for not wearing a helmet and you are not allowed to carry passengers unless certain conditions are met... i presume i different type of licence....

oh heck ... you might even need an italian licence before you can buy one.... ie give up your uk one and go local....

they do have cars here...very small things that most probably mr clarkson would roll over and die if he saw one or at least if anyone called it a car..... but it does have four wheels.... generally driven buy banned drunks or older people....definitely not inferring anything here.... but you dont need a licence to drive it..... so maybe some of the rules of buying transport here in italy might be eaier to follow.... insurance obviously and your road tax...

will look with interest on your progression if you would be kind enough to post it.... maybe there is a simle way of doing things here
