582 Can you recommend a hotel near Tropea?

Hi., am anticipating a short trip to calabria, tropea/zambrone area in August (! Yes I know it will be packed...!!). Can anyone recommend a small hotel or agriturismo with swimming pool, suitable for children ( ie somewhere that does not object to children playing & splashing in the pool...)
Also, has anyone been to the Zambrone Aquapark?

Hi Sharon

Just found your post about Tropea. I spent a couple of days in Tropea towards the end of June and its a lovely little town. I stayed in a hotel called Hotel Virgilio which is about 2 minutes out of the town centre and was very reasonable.

THe beach in Tropea is superb and I ate at a fantastic restaurant called Il Normanno with an open air courtyard with views over the surrounding mountains and sea.

I definately intend to return to Tropea for a longer stay in the future.

Sharon nowhere in Italy will they object to young children making a noise! Especially in August! A lovely small hotel nerby at Capo Vaticano is Il Gattopardo they have a web site in italian not sure about English though. Have a wonderful time
