just looked at calendar and thought I would find bank holidays marked ...must confess didn't quite understand calendar.
anyway has anyone got a list of Italian national holidays please or if it is on this site, could you point me in the right direction .
Do regions have there own bank holidays (i.e. Puglia) or are they all National /
Contrary to what a lot of people think there are fewer bank hols in italy than most other eu countries (i believe germany has the most) also if they fall on sat/sun they are not recuperated in the week.
jan 01- new years day
jan 06 -epifany
march -28/03- easter mon.
aprile -25/04 - can't remember.
june - 02/06
august -15/08 -summer bank hol.
november-01/11
december - 08/12 + 26/12
this is total b.hols 2005 any others fell on sat/sun so there's only 9 this year.
most towns in addition have a day for the patron saint or whatever, most calendars put bank hols dates in a different colour

I agree with Sebastiano, contrary to what people belive, we have not so many hols in Italy
About banks, consider that in summertime, some banks located in touristic places are open on saturday too.
