1109 A Quick Hi from England & Abruzzo

Hi all, new to the forum. Just in the process of buying a property in Abruzzo, close to Montebello Di Bertona. We're not moving to Italy....yet! Have kids at school etc. so it will be a holiday home which hopefully we'll be able to rent out a little. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated, also any 'local' people that could give us any further information on our area would help greatly.

Hi Kerry & Susan.
Welcome to the forum, like you we are also in the process of buying in Abruzzo, south east of you in a village Canosa Sannita south of Tollo.
I'm sorry that I can't give you any info on your area but I have gained an awful lot of information from the more knowledgeable members here, I am sure any questions you may need to ask will be answered.

Thanks for your kind reply.

The most pressing issues for us at the moment are a trustworthy builder for a small amount of work that needs completing and knowing who to contact with regards to registering with local councils, getting electricity and gas switched over etc.

We're visiting for a couple of days shortly so was going to ask around when we are there.
