A warm welcome Andrea. I, like others here, actually look forward to hearing more about you and the place in Italy where you are from, rather than about the company you represent,

Welcome, Andrea. Your input will be most appreciated by all those of us who enjoy good Italian food and wine. But we will also like to hear more about yourself. Do you miss Italy a lot? Perhaps, because of the nature of your job, you return frequently. We look forward to hearing from you.

P.S. I had a look at your webpage and the recipes are excellent. Congratulations!

Welcome to the forum Andrea, I think it is wonderful that food and wine from Italy is available in the UK. When my mother moved to England after the war, she could only get olive oil (in very small bottles) from the chemist – it was used for treating earache!

Thanks for the welcoming posts.. i was born and raised in Abruzzo, near Vasto, and then I move to rome for a few years and then left the sunny Italy for the rest of the world. However, due to my job, i get to travel a lot to Italy and i know all smallest and best winemakers and food producers, together with plenty of tips which i will more than happy to share.

Andrea
Gala, thanks for your feedback about our website

Welcome Andrea. We moved to Puglia from Bedlington, not far from where you are now. Would be interested to compare notes as to why we swapped in opposite directions. Also my son is called Andy, and worked for many years in a bar on the quayside in Newcastle.

I too would like to welcome you Andrea, I for one feel I can never know enough about Italian food and wine and will be delighted to read your future posts. . I am glad you' re able to get back to Italy regularly . Hope you enjoy your time on the forum.

Hi Andrea, I also live in the Northeast near to Durham but am hopefully moving to our house near Cassino (Picinisco,Lazop) next year. I will miss the Northeast as I have lived up here for 20 years (originally from London) because it is beautiful, low population compared to the south etc., but my husband and I have always loved Italy and going to live there has been a goal of ours for some years.

Would you go back to Italy to live or are you settled in the UK? Have you been over for long? Your English is excellent.

Still stuck in Durham Maralyn? Don't envy you the weather I hear you are getting at the moment. Bet you are looking forward to the move.

Margaret

Yep still here in Durham and yes, it has been really cold recently. Still patches of snow around because it is minus 0 most nights. Freezing fog forecast for tomorrow but then again that is in various places around the country.
I will be travelling over to Picinisco on 27 December for 9 days. Cannot wait. Am very busy with my business at this timeof the year so the rest will be most welcome.
Still waiting for a buyer for my business. Couldn't have picked a worse time but one day..........
so until then I will have to be patient about moving out to Italy. At least I can visit often.

Benvenuto Andrea

Sono inglese ma habitavo in Toscana per tre anni, ma volevo scrivere "benvenuto" in italiano perche ai scrito in inglese - dunque saranno tante errore mi sa!

Ho controllato il tuo sito Fine italian wines and food made by passionate small producers at Italyabroad.com e secondo me e molto intersesante e contiene tante roba buona. Potrebbe utile per il natale prossimo.

Ti mandero un email privato perche vorrei suggerirti un azienda nostrale chi fanno roba da castagne.
