Thank you Apples for your reply. Maybe it varies according to location and who your neighbours are!
Not sure of the exact law but an italian freind of ours is "at war" with the head of the local corpo forestale because they will not let him fell some trees on his land,
I think alot depends on the type of tree-oaks must not be cut down in our village-or so we are told.
