1003 Advertising property rentals

I'd be interested to know everyone's experiences in the success rate of advertising my rental website.

We have been using Google for sometime now & it's been successful in generating a number of successes (it's also customisable, the total amount can be controlled etc..). We have also posted some ads in 'proper' places like magazines (some success), newspapers (nothing from the Times) & the good 'ole shop window (quite a bit of business)!

I had also found this site us use (http://www.laymyhat.com/newsletters/newsletter3.htm#found)

I'd be interested in hearing everyone's experiences in what's most successful/ cost effective media.

I have not tried Google... we have a web site, we advertised on a magazine with unsatisfactory return- up to now-...I distributed some flyers...
Still trying to find my way!

Google ads can be very successful if done properly, targeting the ad is the key and it's not about how many clicks but there quality and conversion rate. One tip would be to always turn off the option to advertise in the content network since this is generally where most of the "Click Fraud" happens and where you will waste most of your money.

Lastly a little plug as we do professional google ad setups so if anyone needs advice or would like us to setup there googleads campaign then give us a shout.
