11124 Italian Airport Taxes Raised

Just had a call from Flybe - I have a flight to Italy over New Year booked with them -Fly Out in Dec - Fly Back in January

They tell me that the Italian Authorities have increased charges on my flight back by 2 Euros, and I could pay when I check in for the return flight, or in advance by Credit Card.

Obviously its not a lot of money to pay, but I am writing this just to warn others of possible delays at Check In in early Jan as people pay the 2 Euros.

I'm booked for Pisa, wonder if that will go up. :veryconfused:

They're putting up airport taxes to pay the bill for the redundancy pay offered to Alitalia staff - up to 7 years pay in some cases. I'm looking forward to seeing what Ryanair will have to say about that.

Alitalia Redundancy Supplement Excess [ARSE] will be added to all Ryanair flight charges

[Yes it will affect Pisa . I've just had a request from Easy Jet for my sons flight next week. 2 euro from now; does matter how long ago you booked either. They have to get your house tax exemption and Alitalia redundancies back some how.
