Hello all, as you may have noticed there is a different text editor for inserting content. Still a couple of things to work out but it should allow us to upload images in both posts and replies to posts as well as have more smileys, etc.

Pat, who had been taking care of the Latest news section for the past six weeks will be writing a weekly column offering a more personal take on life here in Italy.
Hi,sure this will not please everyone but the feedback we got is that having latest activity on the forefront is the most logical thing because with topics you don't get a proper view of everything.Topics are just a click away (as well as everyth
We have a winner for our seven wonders competition
There were hundred of votes and some very interesting submissions but the Lady won once more
Hello All,
we are running a competition to discover the seven Italian wonders
straight off the Repubblica website - a revolution in fast-food. Pasta that is cooked with the same speed as coffee from a special machine invented by Barilla.
We've added a couple of changes to the site today that will hopefully make it simpler to follow new posts and post content under the appropriate topic:
One of the things I enjoy about the area I live in (South-East Sicily) are the little ape (three-wheeled) or slightly bigger blue trucks that travel around and park in seemingly random positions (although I am sure there is a well defined hierarch
... coming up with a question was hard. How can you come up with anything that Google does immediately cough up!
anyway - here goes.
Hello - one more change for today. We've added an editor so it is simpler to do things like bold text or italics

I would look into it in detail - the Italian labour market (especially now) is not really dynamic and unless you are willing to be creative and flexible (i.e. self-employed) it may be hard to find a way in.That said it does not mean that there are no opportunities - it's just that it is not straightforward.
Hi,I think the problem is a result of comments having a reply link at the bottom of each comment while the main post does't have it. Th e fact is that if you just scroll to the end of the page and post a comment (without hitting the reply button) that counts as a reply to the main posting. We are going to implement a few more changes (hopefully by the end of August) - nothing drastic just taking care of issues like that and I hope that will make things clearer.
here we go:Prosciutto crudo e melone con composta di fragole al pepeCrostata (o tortino) di pomodori secchi e cipolla con formaggio di capraSalmone alle erbe e limone Fagottino di verdure mediterranee grigliate Torta al limone
Hi Andrew - quite a challenge you've given us. I've e-mail a couple of foodie Italian friends and I am waiting to see what they come back with.Part of the challenge is to have realistic translation rather than a word-for-word one. Italian menus are not always as descriptive as English ones - using traditional names or invented names with just a couple ingredients as hints of what is in there!.
Have heard little about them since this Mail On Sunday article (PDF Document). There are, however, we believe still operating.
Hi all - I realise that it is a bit frustrating. Migration would actually have been simple - however, we wanted to make sure that everyone signing up to this community had a clear idea of what we are trying to achieve through the Member Agreement and was certain of wanting to be part of it.It would not be fair to create a whole new set of rules and simply more everyone over to those rules. We also only wanted to keep the more active accounts and have a better reflection of how many people are really involved.
Hi Francesca - the "Read all post" button is still there - just click on "Activity". As for the private messages we've taken out the link from under the user name as their is the Private Messages section that offers pretty much the same functionalityWe've also added a Photos link at the top which lets you see all the photo galleries created - something that we could not do before. Hope this makes sense!
grazie mille - we are still working on quite a few things and hope to improve further. thanks for the nice comments and thanks for your patience while we sorted things out.
Hi Penny, you can see your own information but no-one elses. Just try to visit the profile of another user and no profile information is visible to non-members. Best,Ronald
Agree with flyingpigs above - simplest thing is to catch the train out of Rome to Fiumicino and from there get the car. Having said that look into train travel as well - depending on exactly what town it is (how small, how well connected, etc) you might find that a train from Rome will get you there.http://trenitalia.it/homepage_en.html " rel="nofollow"> http://trenitalia.it/homepage_en.html Good luck (or as the Italians say in bocca al lupo!)
