So fellow scrooges (or not) what would you like for Christmas this year?. I will kick it off with my wish for a new front door, so anyone know of any good carpenters in Southern Marche, please let me know.

Hi I've got a query - can anyone help? We have been travelling in Italy since Sept 1st in a camper van UK registered with UK road tax. This runs out 30th november.
Can anyone advise please, our UK TV which we bought over here appears to have given up the ghost (we get Sky Italia through it). Its sound is fine but the picture is just a thin bright line.

will pm Viking......have to say will never get my vote. But not appropriate to post on an open forum.
Our commercatista works it out and submits for an extra 20e fee, but probably only of any use if you are paying Italian tax.
Thanks Badger.....think that it has been tightened up since then, the period is becoming shorter, have to go to comune next week anyway so will ask.
Am I right in thinking Badger hunting season Nov to Feb, inclusive?...... Viking you live near to us but as we have 5 cats the dog walking issue is not a problem, however the hunters are no respectors of land or the rules "governing" safe distances to shoot. It would be a good idea to go to the comune in Montegiorgio and ask when the hunting days are. They vary from comune to comune.
Good source of info is the health food shop in Servigliano....not too far away, and then you can pop into the Servigliano English Library as well (next door) , over a thousand books to choose from, and finally into the Little British Shop to stock up on anything you may be missing from the UK. If you need anymore info do feel free to message me.
Have had a quick google around Angie, and it seems dogs and other animals can be affected by pollens, it is suggested a saline spray up their nose (that should be well received) and a light sponging of the coat to remove dust and pollen residue. But if in doubt a quick trip to the vet is always advisable.
I think Rickardo has a very valid point, re the extended family helping. And it seems a tad unfair to suggest that non-Italian B&Bs are run by money grabbing people. In the end people choose where they want to stay, some English speakers are more comfortable if their hosts speak English, some like Lisa like to have a challenge.
Armchair Italians......ummm actually we live here...do you?
Well posted Neil, as our friend Jon says there is no such thing as bad PR!......Bravo.
Welcome to Marche......where are you moving to?. There are forum members living here, who I am sure will be happy to share experiences and give advice, and by the time you arrive it may have stopped raining!.
