So fellow scrooges (or not) what would you like for Christmas this year?. I will kick it off with my wish for a new front door, so anyone know of any good carpenters in Southern Marche, please let me know.

Hi I've got a query - can anyone help? We have been travelling in Italy since Sept 1st in a camper van UK registered with UK road tax. This runs out 30th november.
Can anyone advise please, our UK TV which we bought over here appears to have given up the ghost (we get Sky Italia through it). Its sound is fine but the picture is just a thin bright line.

Well done Badger, best of luck!, we have friends that have hand reared tiny kittens and their two Maremmas were very gentle with them.
Can you give me more details on the plug in device plse, is it something we could buy at Global Images in Piano di Montegiorgio?.
If the writer found Italy such a nightmare then I am surprised they lasted 35yrs!.It seems a very negative view-point, whilst eveything is not rosy here, some of it is very good. My experience with the build of our apartment was that it came in on budget and no "back-handers" were exchanged, and I have no problem being transparent with my tax dealings. Not really sure why you posted this on an Italian forum?.
Happy New Year to you all.
Best wishes to all, and to you Gala and the family.
Obviously have been living here too long to find the article that amusing.....we are not all idiots and totally bemused by the Italian way of life.....well too a degree, but have the right boots/shoes and the puffa jacket!
Directions for Zen. Servigliano - Fermo road, just before the roundabout at Piano di Montegiorgio it is on the left hand side, painted red. Enjoy!.
Well according to my neighbour Mario, they are all fascists except for in our village, he remembers the war time years, and still attributes the same guidelines to everyone else. We are in southern Marche and when we talk about going to Sicily he says we need to take a pistol with us. How much is founded on the real world here now or not is a moot point, we have never experienced it here.
Excellent authentic Japanese lunch at Zen, 10e for the fixed lunch-time menu. Badger would recommend and be interested in what you had to say about it.......Makes a welcome change.
This rumour has been much discussed within other groups, and whilst I can see Sebastianos point it is still presenting a worry to the holiday letting community in Marche. The latest is that it is being debated at comune level, no doubt a trickle down consultation excersise. However as it appears that Ancona has made a profit this year so may be spared the chop, especially after all its recent upgrading. The only thing to do is keep an eye on the press and the TV news. But I would be grateful if others could share any concrete information that they may have.
