I can't be the only one bemused by the recent IMU announcements.I've not missed what is happening to prima casa. Has anyone got any idea about what is happening to second home IMU or by which date that is to be made clear?

Questions Asked
Apologies, no idea what just happened. Does anyone know the content of the austerity budget? Or is able to point me to a summary. I know that health charges have increased and so have taxes but I am interested in the details.
I've lost touch recently. Can anyone summarise what's in the finance discussions for the new budget next year? I know its currently under discussion.
I imagine most comune have now published their summer events, it would be good to use this thread to collect recommendations and weblinks.Perinaldo has published its events programme at www.perin
Can the sidebar item for private messages show the number of new private messages or notifications? I found I hadn't realised I had any until I went into that section. Thanks.

I think this is also available on the www.poste.it website.
It seems our IMU is likely to be a bit more than double what we currently pay - half to the comune and half to the state. It will probably be .79% but they will only be deciding in May!
Just as a comparison Intasure were £60 more expensive than our usual policy with Schofields. Cover not as good either. So no change here this year.
Just to say the problem doesn't go away. We had a couple come down the chimney and into the wood-burning stove.
To be honest couldn't see clearly enough in your pictures. Were they hornets? If so and you have a chimney they may have established a nest there. If it ends in an open fireplace, then they could have flown down it at the end of the season. Its possible the queen is overwintering there now. We have problems with nesting in our chimney. They will fill the whole of the cowl over the summer often.... There is only one way. You'll see all the super cans in supermarkets and gardening/agricultural stores. I believe the jet of insecticide is very powerful so you don't have to be close ... but several dusk applications would be needed. Then the chimney cowl would have to come off and the obstruction removed. We often see chimneys covered in mosquito netting in the summer. As people say on your blog - a Ligurian country house, scorpions, millepedes, hornets, wasps, flies and gorgeous midges and mosquitos. Of course there are the friends too like lizards and wild boar.
Could it be an azerole. Here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crataegus_azarolus http://www.pfaf.org/user/plant.aspx?LatinName=Crataegus+azarolus
There's a fair bit on the EJ website including FAQs in answer to all the Speedy Options. It will be great if it becomes universal. Will do away with some of the stress and the endless queuing.
Close to you in Perinaldo. There have been several very severe patches of cold weather and heavy snow in the last 11 years. One of which where it hung around for weeks in frozen piles. Sometimes there is frost and/or snow just when the mimosa crop is reaching perfection for Festa Delle Donna in early March - often ruining much of it. However the weather is usually warmer down by the sea. It also depends where your house is located, how much winter sun it gets.
You do know it can be cold in winter and even snow; don't you? On the other hand it can be blue, bright and sunny in winter too.
Maybe its the geometra. Perhaps you can get some other quotes. I've heard some people say there is a helpful one in Dolceaqua (unless this is the one). There certainly can be a riviera loading though.
